i've been making minor but overdue updates to the site sporadicly over the past few weeks that are now done:
- made better use of django templates so there's less repeated code
- changed the URL structure of the dirt naps from id numbers to /year/month/day/title - but should anyone, for some inexplicable reason, have bookmarked a page with an old URL, those will still work
- made all of the site's content database-driven (there was a lot of hardcoding going on - it was, after all, my first attempt at this thing called django)
- added convenient "previous" and "next" links for all the dirt naps
- added an RSS feed so feel free to subscribe
- made content updates to the home and web pages - with a handy little "updated" footer
- and finally, though always my intention to have the capacity for a different picture per dirt nap, i finally got around to writing the code to do it (so enjoy the new photo above of me pretending to drive a golf cart)
